Short version: JoiTalk is not therapy or licensed financial/legal advice. You must be 18+. Sessions are billed per minute from your prepaid wallet — billing starts only when the consultant answers, unanswered rings are free, and you can end anytime. Sessions may be monitored for quality.

1. Acceptance

By creating an account, starting a session, or using joitalk.fun in any way, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

2. What JoiTalk is — and is not

JoiTalk is a peer consultation platform. Our consultants share lived experience and perspective, not licensed therapy, medical advice, legal counsel, or regulated financial advice. JoiTalk is not a crisis service.

Sessions are private one-on-one conversations. You appear to the other participant by your real first name, or an optional display alias. The platform never shares your contact details with the other participant, and exchanging contact information during sessions is prohibited.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use JoiTalk. By signing up you confirm that you meet this requirement. Accounts found to belong to minors will be removed.

4. Wallet & per-minute billing

JoiTalk runs on a prepaid wallet. You recharge via our payment gateway (UPI, cards, netbanking); applicable GST and a small gateway fee are collected at the time of recharge and shown before you pay.

  • Each consultant lists a per-minute rate for each session mode (chat or call).
  • Billing starts only when the consultant answers — an unanswered ring costs nothing.
  • Charges are deducted from your wallet per begun minute at the listed rate.
  • You may end a session at any time; you pay only for the minutes used.
  • If your balance runs low mid-session, recharging extends the session automatically; when the balance is exhausted, the session ends.
  • Wallet balance is non-transferable and usable only on JoiTalk.

5. Refunds & disputes

  • There is nothing to cancel in advance: unanswered rings are never charged, and you can end any live session the moment you choose to.
  • If a scheduled booking is cancelled by JoiTalk or the consultant, or the consultant fails to join, you are not charged.
  • If a session fails because of a technical fault on our side, we credit the affected minutes back to your wallet.
  • For any billing dispute or refund request, email support@joitalk.fun within 24 hours of the session. We review every case and resolve it individually.

6. Session monitoring & recording

You acknowledge that: JoiTalk sessions may be silently monitored by our Quality Assurance team, and chat sessions are transcript-logged, for quality, safety, training, and dispute-resolution purposes.

By starting or booking a session you consent to this monitoring. Transcripts and recordings are stored encrypted and deleted within 90 days unless a dispute is open. See our Privacy Policy §4 for handling details.

7. Consultant conduct

Consultants on JoiTalk agree to:

  • Share honest, experience-based perspective only — never as a substitute for professional advice
  • Maintain confidentiality of session content
  • Treat every user with respect and without judgment
  • Never contact users outside the JoiTalk platform
  • Never request, receive, or send money outside JoiTalk
  • Never share personal contact details (phone, email, social) during sessions

8. User conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the platform for harassment, abuse, threats, or illegal activity
  • Provide false or impersonated information
  • Record, screenshot, or share session content without consent
  • Attempt to contact consultants outside JoiTalk
  • Share personal contact details (phone, email, social) during sessions
  • Resell, redistribute or commercialise session content

Violations may result in immediate account termination without refund.

9. Disclaimers

Financial discussions: Financial perspective shared on JoiTalk is informational only. Investments are subject to market risks. Read all scheme-related documents carefully before investing. Always consult a SEBI-registered financial advisor for investment decisions.

Mental wellness: JoiTalk is not therapy. Consultants are not licensed mental-health professionals. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, contact a qualified professional.

Legal & medical: Nothing on JoiTalk constitutes legal or medical advice. Consult licensed professionals for those matters.

10. Limitation of liability

JoiTalk provides perspective and lived experience — not professional advice. To the maximum extent permitted by law, JoiTalk and its consultants are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from decisions you make based on session content. Our total liability in any case is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant session.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email to registered users. Continued use of the platform after a change constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing law & contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in India.
